Olympic Day Run
In celebration of the
Olympic Day, the National Olympic Committee of Turkey organizes Olympic Day
Run every year on the southeastern and eastern part of Turkey, an area where
the sport and Olympic Ideals needs to be developed most. In 2005 around 600
female and male participants between the ages of 10 and 70 take part in
Olympic Day Run in Bartýn. All participants are presented IOC’s Olympic
Day Run Diplomas upon crossing the finish line. During the award ceremony,
city and NOC representatives spoke about the values of Olympism and its
contribution for peaceful world and promotion of friendship, fair play and
solidarity in the world.
